Justin Padilla Tampa, FL Bio

Over the past 10 years, Mr. Justin Padilla has worked as a Television Station Intern Manager, Editor, Director, Independent Film Producer, Film Instructor/Acting Coach at The Young Actors Studio, Media Production Instructor at The University of Tampa, Digital Film/Video Production Instructor at The Art Institute of Tampa, and Interim Academic Chairman of Digital Film and Photography Programs at The Art Institute of Tampa. 
Mr. Padilla started an independent internship with Radnor Studio 21 in 2001 through which he quickly gained editing and directing experience and was appointed to train all station interns in the areas of editing, lighting design, camera operation, sound recording, and live broadcast directing as the Intern Manager.  In addition to producing, directing, and editing his own television program at Radnor Studio 21, Mr. Padilla also won several film festival awards for both student and independent films in which he played multiple roles including: Writer, Director, Editor, and Producer. 
In 2006 Mr. Padilla graduated from Villanova University with his Master’s Degree in Film, Media, and Culture, and relocated to his current home of Tampa, FL.  Maintaining his passion for education and working with both on and off-camera Talent, he quickly procured employment as an Adjunct Film Professor at the University of Tampa and as an Acting Coach/Talent Director at The Young Actors Studio of Tampa, where he placed local actors, singers, and models with some of the most prestigious Talent Agencies in the country.
Recently, Mr. Padilla has maintained an active role in the areas of film and video production through teaching at both performing arts academies and institutions of higher education; being solely responsible for the filming, editing, and DVD authoring of actor’s demo reels; filming and submitting electronic auditions for national television broadcasts and full length feature films (Disney, Nickelodeon, MGM); producing, filming, and editing promotional videos, advertisements, and instructional videos; and contributing to the casting, editing, and production of a number of Independent Films in the Central Florida area.
Mr. Padilla currently fulfills the role of Interim Academic Chair to the Digital Film and Video Production and the Digital Photography Departments at the Art Institute of Tampa.  He also continues to instruct several of the editing and video production courses including: Fundamentals of Editing, Intermediate Editing, Intermediate Video Production, and Video for Photography.
